Insurance Cheap and the Financial Services Authority The Financial Services Authority (FSA) is a government run body that administers and regulates a number of financial institutions. Banks, insurance companies and financial advisors have been regulated by the FSA for many years, but in addition mortgage providers since October 2004 and insurance intermediaries since January 2005 have been regulated by the FSA. Among other things the FSA is there to protect the consumer from being mis-sold financial services, including insurance. You'll find lots of useful insurance and other financial related information on their consumer website at http://www.fsa.gov.uk. All the companies we deal with that sell car, motorbike, home insurance are bound by the regulations of the FSA. Some other products like Pet Insurance and Travel Insurance are not covered by this authority.
