Greener cars demand up
The number of people choosing their car on environmental grounds
has risen from 6% to 20% in the last year according to recent research
by AA personal loans. Each of the last five years has seen the proportion
of motorist buying for green reasons increasing. Motorists who have
so many other financial commitments also choose 'greener' car because
of the financial benefits of a car that has a lower insurance group
and a higher fuel economy. The London congestion charge where motorists
benefit from driving environmentally friendly cars may also be a reason
for the move.
With 25% of Britons changing their car this year, the type of cars
we see on our roads in a few years time may be very different from
those we see at present. It looks like sports cars are no longer cool.
