A new survey by Sainsbury's insurance arm has found that one in four
UK home owners fail to shop around for home insurance.
Over 8 million Britons didn't look further than the renewal quote
provided by their current insurer.
Home insurance costs vary markedly and it seems that because quotes
are generally less than car insurance that the the average homeowner
regards it as less of a priority to get a good deal.
When questioned, 12% of those who didn't search around said they
couldn't be bothered, 8% said they had no time to search around and
10% said they were happy with their current deal.
