Ford Car Insurance

Based near Detroit Michigan in the US Ford has been around since the early days of the car. Founded by the famous enterpreneur Henry Ford in 1903 it is still amazingly in family control. Ford was the first to introduce mass production methods to the car building industry. Ford owns a stable of famous car names from Jaguar, Daimler Land Rover and Aston Martin here in the UK to Volvo in Europe a 33.4% stake in Mazda in Japan and the American brands Lincoln and Mercury. They also own Hertz Rent-a-Car.

Ford's most successful model ever was the Model T between 1908 and 1927 Ford sold over 15,000,000 Model Ts. The model T was also manufactured in England at Trafford Park, Manchester from 1911 and they sold for around £135. More recently the Ford Focus has been the UK's best selling car and the world's best selling car.

Ford ended car production in the UK in 2001 it has produced cars there since it's early days in Trafford Park in 1911.
