European Health Insurance Card
Insurance Cheap: it's all about cheap travel insurance
UK residents are entitled to medical treatment in all EU countries and additionally Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland. This treatment is usually at a reduced cost, or it may be free. The patient must present a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) which is the replacement for the E111 form.
The card can be applied for at the EHIC website http://www.ehic.org.uk or,
by phoning the EHIC telephone enquiry number 0845 606 2030 or
by filling in a form that you can get from your local Post Office.
